      <title>June Webinar Program - Common Law Immunity (10 Jun 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 16px;" color="#333333" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;Our June monthly lunch and learn webinar will be held on&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Wednesday, June 10th&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;at &lt;strong&gt;noon&lt;/strong&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;font color="#212121"&gt;Municipal officials have to balance competing interests and make judgment calls every day, all in the best interest of their communities. Courts have afforded these officials common law immunity to protect them from litigation and personal liability.&amp;nbsp;&lt;font color="#333333"&gt;This month's speaker is Sean Grammel of Anderson Kreiger. Sean was counsel on the recently decided&lt;/font&gt; &lt;font color="#212121"&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font color="#212121"&gt;Grafton &amp;amp; Upton Railroad Co. v. Burt&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/em&gt; case. Sean will&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;discuss the takeaways from the Appeals Court’s decision&lt;/font&gt;&lt;font color="#212121"&gt;, along with some other recent developments relevant to common law immunity.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>MMLA 2026 Annual Conference (1 Oct 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Save the date for MMLA's 2026 Annual Conference. This year we are returning to the South Coast to the "Whaling City" of New Bedford on &lt;strong&gt;Thursday and Friday, October 1 and 2, 2026&lt;/strong&gt;. The conference will be at the Fairfield Inn &amp;amp; Suites in historic downtown New Bedford on the waterfront, with our programming events taking place at the adjoining Waypoint Event Center. Arrive early and stay late as there is lots of stuff to do and sights to see in the area, including the Whaling Museum and the Whaling National Historic Park.&lt;/p&gt;
